My journey to becoming a Mindset and Anxiety Coach is a testament to my passion for guiding others towards living their best lives. Having struggled with depression and anxiety for over 30 years, I embarked on a personal journey to overcome these challenges and find healing. This profound experience led me to help myself and, in turn, support others in their own journeys. With a unique blend of personal experiences and professional expertise, I’ve dedicated my career to empowering individuals to achieve true transformation.
My career began in corporate marketing, where I spent six years honing my skills and gaining valuable insights. However, I soon realized that the corporate world wasn’t for me. Seeking a more fulfilling path, I transitioned into education, spending eight impactful years as a high school English and journalism teacher. Working with freshmen was especially rewarding because they were at a stage of discovering their identities and passions.
One of my proudest achievements was creating “100 Alternatives to Taking a Test,” an assignment that encouraged students to demonstrate their understanding of a book through their unique talents. Whether it was drawing a comic book, writing a song, or building a stage set, I aimed to help them find their passion and express their learning in a meaningful way. The incredible projects they produced are among my most cherished memories, showcasing their creativity and potential.
But my journey didn’t stop there. My husband, Brian, and I ventured into publishing with SPOT Magazine, celebrating local music, entertainment, and businesses. We took great joy in showcasing the talents of artists and entrepreneurs. However, it soon became clear that many were facing hidden challenges and unhealthy lifestyles.
This realization led to the creation of Revive Magazine, a publication dedicated to health and wellness. Our mission was to inspire readers to embark on or continue their wellness journeys, providing actionable knowledge to make positive changes in their lives and help them feel better, be better, and do better.
Through these experiences and my personal wellness journey, I discovered my true calling: helping others overcome struggles, realize their potential, and achieve their goals. I’ve witnessed the transformative power of a positive mindset and the incredible changes that can happen with the right support and tools.
As a Mindset and Anxiety Coach, I draw on a wide range of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), meditation, mindfulness, and insights from thought leaders like Eckhart Tolle, Wayne Dyer, Michael Singer, and Dr. Joe Dispenza. My approach is personalized, holistic, and rooted in the belief that everyone has the potential to manage their anxiety and live a fulfilling life.
